Reminder: Preschool Open House June 17

If your child is registered to attend the Rutherford Preschool program (Lincoln School or Washington School), preschoolers and their parents/guardians are invited to attend an open house on Monday, June 17th at 1:30. Preschoolers will have the opportunity to explore the classroom while information about the program is shared. Unfortunately, this event can not accommodate siblings.

Washington School: 89 Wood Street

New Parent Orientation

Information sessions for parents new to the Kindergarten Center, Lincoln School, or Washington School will be held TONIGHT, May 22, at the respective schools. The evening events provide parents an opportunity to see their child’s school and to hear more about the school community their child will be joining in the fall. Letters went out earlier this month from the respective school principal from the school your child has been assigned to.

7:00 PM Lincoln School, 414 Montross Avenue

(Please enter through the MPR doors on Vreeland Avenue)

7:00 PM Washington School, 89 Wood Street

(Please enter through the MPR doors on Washington Ave.)

Kindergarten Center, 109 Sylvan Street

6:00 PM and *7:15 PM -2 Sessions to accommodate the number of anticipated attendees.

6:00-Adults of children with the last names beginning with A-L.

7:15-Adults of children with the last names beginning with M-Z.

(Please enter through the lobby doors at the north end of the building on Sylvan Street)

All are invited and encouraged to hear from the PTA between sessions from 6:50-7:05.

SEA Registration

Rutherford Public Schools is happy to offer the 2024 Summer Enrichment Academy this year for incoming Kindergarten to Grade 3 students. Space is limited and registration is open. Please note if your child is NEW to the district for the 2024-2025 school year, you may not register for SEA until you have completed the enrollment process.

Payment information:
Current students: Tuition will be uploaded to your child’s PaySchools account for those families who are currently enrolled in the Rutherford Public Schools.

Incoming/New students: Online payment is not available. Please fill out the registration form online and drop off payment in the red drop box located on the Donaldson Avenue side of Rutherford Borough Hall, 176 Park Avenue. Please make sure to place your check in an envelope and write Rutherford Board of Education on the outside. Inside the envelope be sure you include your child’s name and what grade they are entering in the fall. Please note, we will only accept checks from those families who are NOT in the PaySchools system.

Please note that no refunds will be given after May 31st.
