]]> It’s unbelievable that we are starting the last quarter of the school year on April 7.  Spring sports have begun and as Spring has arrived and we approach the finish line we have numerous important events beginning this month.  The students enjoyed the most popular Spirit Week.  The senior class took home the prize with the most school spirit. The week culminated with a Pep Rally to excite the students and staff for the upcoming Spring season.   The Jr. Dinner Dance will be held on Friday, April 4.    Our talented musicians and singers will be showcased at Popcert on April 9.  A Post-Secondary Information Night hosted by the guidance department will take place on April 10.   There will be a PTSA meeting on April 16.   Schools are closed for Spring break April 18 through April 25.  Our World Language Honor Society students will be honored on May 2 during a luncheon.

]]> March is an exciting and busy time here at RHS.  We just concluded a successful winter season.  As busy as the winter season was, we have an even busier spring ahead.  We start the month off with a  one-session day for students on March 3. Mrs. Gagliardo has been working diligently on NJGPA testing which all 11th graders must take.  This (NJGPA) Graduation Proficiency Assessment will take place on March 10 and 11 and March 13 and 14. Information was sent home regarding the detailed schedule and arrival time of non-testing grades.  There will be a Career Fair on March 12.  Our school musical, Mary Poppins, will be performed on March 14 and 15.  The popular Mike Cassidy Shamrock ‘N Run 5K will also take place on the morning of March 15.   Many of our students and staff volunteer for this wonderful cause.  The REF is sponsoring a Harlem Wizards night on March 19.  The most popular Spirit Week will take place during the week of March 24.   

March Madness Food and Fun Day hosted by the Rutherford Education Association at Pierrepont School on March 29.  The Class of 2026 will be enjoying the Junior Dinner Dance on April 4.

]]> It’s hard to believe that the school year is already half over.  Semester two began on January 27!  Winter sports have begun tournament play and as always our student athletes are making us proud. The senior fashion will take place on Wednesday, February 5. It will be an amazing night!   School will be closed on February 14 and 17 for winter recess.  There will be a PTSA meeting at the high school on February 26 at 7:30 pm.  The RHS musical will be performed on March 14 and March 15.

]]> It is amazing to me that we are already in December!!!  It has been a very exciting time here at RHS with a successful fall season.   Our band and choir students have been working extremely hard preparing for their Winter Concert to be held on Thursday, December 12.  Our winter sports teams are working hard and in full swing. The RHS PTSA is having a meeting on December 4 at 7:30 PM.  December 20 will be a half-day and RHS will be having a holiday music assembly.  We will return from our winter break on January 2.  I wish all a safe and joyful holiday season and a Happy New Year.

]]> It’s hard to believe that I am typing that the end of Quarter 1 is approaching.   Quarter 1 ends on November 6 and as I have said a number of times already this year, the energy in the building has been fantastic.  School will be closed for election day on November 5 and also on November 7 and 8 for teachers’ convention.  The All School Play will be performed on Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16.  Schools will be closed for Thanksgiving on November 28 and 29 with a one-session day on Wednesday, November 27.  The all sports booster dinner will take place on December 3 at the Fiesta.  

Our athletic teams have had an amazing fall.  Our football team, both boys’ and girls’ soccer teams, volleyball, and cross country have or are still participating in the state tournament.  It has been a remarkable start for our sports teams.  In addition, our clubs and activities are in full swing.

]]> It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome everyone back for the 2024-2025 school year.  I am excited to see our students walking the halls with big smiles on their faces!

 We will be screaming with excitement during our kickoff Pep Rally on September 13.   

School Pictures are scheduled for September 26.  

Our 9th Grade Parent Orientation and Back to School Night will be held on September 19.  The 9th Grade Parent Orientation will begin at 6 PM in the auditorium.  Back to School Night will begin at 7 PM with all parents reporting to their child’s block one class.   

The homecoming dance will be held on October 4 with the parade and game following on October 5.  

I am looking forward to working collaboratively with students, staff and parents to continue our bulldog tradition and our bulldog pride.

Information was sent home regarding the detailed schedule and arrival time of non-testing grades.  Our school musical, The Lightning Thief:  The Percy Jackson Musical, which will be performed on March 15 and 16.  The popular Mike Cassidy Shamrock ‘N Run 5K will also take place on the morning of March 16.   Many of our students and staff volunteer for this wonderful cause.  The REF is sponsoring a Harlem Wizards night on March 20.  The most popular Spirit Week will take place during the week of March 25.  The third quarter benchmarks will start on March 28 and run through April 3.  The Class of 2025 will be enjoying the Junior Dinner Dance on April 5.  There will be one-session days for students on March 20 and April 3.  Schools will be closed on Friday, March 29.
