As we move toward the winter months, please make sure your children are properly dressed for the cold weather. Students should wear a warm coat, gloves, hat, etc. Most days, the students will go outside for lunch recess, and physical education.

Please review with your child what you expect them to do if an emergency closing is called after the start of the school day. In the event of an emergency closing, students will be dismissed at 12:18 p.m. If a delayed opening occurs, please know that homeroom begins at room 10:40 a.m., and dismissal is at 3:00 p.m.

If we do not receive a phone call, we will send home an automated message asking that you contact the school immediately.

We will have a building tour on Thursday, August 22nd, beginning at 9:30 a.m. for new students and students who could not attend orientation in February. If you plan on attending a tour, please email Mr. Tozzi at atozzi@rutherfordschools.org. Please arrive in front of the pillars near the main entrance of the building at 9:30 a.m.

All students received individual course lists for 2024-2025 in June. No schedule changes will be made after school opens in September. Mr. Tozzi will be available from August 20th through August 22nd.

Looking ahead, please mark your calendars for Thursday, September 12th. We will have “Back to School Night.” In addition, “Picture Day” will be on Tuesday, September 17th.
