Students in Mrs. Chang and Ms. Gardeazabal’s class embarked on two virtual field trips to Cuba and Ecuador to learn about each country’s culture. After scanning their US Passports and boarding passes, they toured each country and learned about its geography, food, and music. Students concluded each trip with hands-on exploration of artifacts from each country. Refer to the pictures attached to view several of the Cuban and Ecuadorian artifacts explored.

Just in time for Halloween, students in Ms. Hetzel and Mrs. Podolanczuk’s 3rd-grade class investigated the question “What would happen if we didn’t have a skull?”  As part of the Mystery Science program, students watched and discussed a short video on the purpose of a skull, then continued to build their own skulls from a paper mask.  Of course, there were a few “BOOS”.
